october’s moon

sometimes

i cannot feel the day

only the night

the dark

the quiet

the stars shimmer

the moon

lays a cloak across the room

i step outside

alone

and i feel as one

in the universe

a coming home

the sunrise

is the mystery

we have never ever

understood

the peaceful transfer of power

the darkness to light

one becomes two

i am not alone

you are not alone

in the vastness

of the universe

the light

is the awareness

of not just

a coming home

but who we take

on our journeys

from here to there

the peaceful transfer of love

night to light

and it is under the twinkling stars

the drape of the october moon

i think of you

and i feel your soul

everywhere

the hearts longing

a sense of belonging

from red to blue

the sacred singularity

of me into you
