urgency

i always thought there would be a map
a road for me to travel
but it isn’t so
instead i know not where to go
when to leave
how to arrive
too late
too early
or am i in the wrong room
the wrong place
the wrong time in my life
does it get better
or worse
is it all a blessing or a curse
the gps says take a left
i stop and look left
then right
there is no one in sight
and the empty road
goes on for miles
to the end of the horizon
i have no map
just sight
and nothing feels…
